Asmeriel is a next-generation dark fantasy board game — physical cards and miniatures on the table, driven by its own app that handles the story, animations and combat resolution. A board game with the depth of a video game, where you keep looking your fellow players in the eye instead of just staring at a screen.

Our Mission

The Asmeriel project was born years ago as a dream of a game that would bring together the best of two worlds: the atmosphere of evenings spent with friends around a table, and the depth, dynamics and convenience of modern video games. The idea gradually became a prototype, the prototype became a game — and about a year ago came the turning point: we decided to devote ourselves to the project fully, full-time.

The project is led by František Světinský — the game's lead designer as well as its developer and programmer. Asmeriel is thus created under one roof: from the game mechanics through the story to the app that brings it all to life.

Our goal is not to release one box and disappear. We want to keep developing the world of Asmeriel for the long term — with physical expansions and add-ons, ongoing app updates, and further games that will gradually open the realm up from every side.

 

A Revolution in Game Design

Every card in Asmeriel carries its own unique code. Just scan it over your phone during play — and the card comes alive. That's how you activate abilities, trigger events or push the story forward. A physical card in your hand, and the game responds instantly. The play area is rendered by a projector on your table, taking the board game to a whole different level. You watch realtime animations of your actions and spells, wolves and dragons stroll across your table, and everything is beautifully interactive. The game is accompanied by sound effects and music, and this whole concept makes Asmeriel something that has never been seen at a table before.

 

Asmeriel is still being forged: photos, visuals and feature descriptions show the intended shape of the game and may change during development.
